No comments please! I just realized if you comment on my blog as of right now it will send an alert to my email dayejohnson75 and I won't get it! Whoever has hold of my email account will get it and if they choose to open it then they'll have access to my blog and I don't want that. I guess I'll have to figure out how to change where my comment alerts go. I'll let you know when this changes since I love getting your comments! I feel so paranoid.

You really do learn something new everyday!

This week I got my email ID and password stolen and have found it to be quite an aggravating situation. The jerk changed my password and now I no longer have access to my email account. So everyone who was in my address book got a little email about a trip I'm supposedly taking to Africa and is asking for money. Don't send money and don't respond to the email. I am slowly trying to piece together my address book and once it's as close as I can get it I'll send out an email to everyone with my new email address. I'm sad since dayejohnson75 has been my ID for over 10 years!

But the good news is that I found out I have terrific friends and family. I frantically called as many people possible to ask them to please email others to let them know what happened. I was probably more curt than necessary but they all understood. Allison let me call her a thousand times without complaining and I know she prayed for me when I asked. Even after 30 years she is the best friend anyone could ask for. Several have helped me since then by forwarded emails with address I need to my new account. Thanks to everyone who has helped. I may think of another address I need so you may not be in the clear just yet!

Bottom line: Find a way to cut and past your email address book and put it into a word document on your computer so if this ever happens to you you'll not face what I've faced.

I'll eventually get around to posting pictures so be patient with me! :)

32 and holding

Yet another birthday has come and gone. It's amazing how the older you get the faster they come! We had friends over Sunday nite and grilled hot dogs. Jay got a cake from Publix which is my favorite and it was a lot of fun to just hang out with good friends.

Reilly Kaye, Kacyi holding Georgia, Sloan, me and Katie Jo Everyone helped blow out the candles
Sloan did what every child loves and licked the candles. We gave one to Katie Jo to lick off and we were delighted to watch her proceed to eat it! I wrestled half of it away from her. She had wax crumbs around her mouth!
The actual birthday was less exciting. I met two friends at Target for a little shopping and then went to Moe's for lunch. Katie Jo and Georgia's gift to me was to not take an afternoon nap. Needless to say I was very glad when Jay came home early and took over for a little while! :) No big dinner out since that would have been more stressful than relaxing with two little ones. Instead we ordered from Applebee's and I splurged and ordered mozzarella sticks to go along with my entree. I ate 7 of them. The evening was finished off with two Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I slept like a baby (except for the two feeding needed by Georgia).
On the gift front I received a precious home made card from Jay and the girls. I got a necklace to match earrings from Christmas from my mom and dad. She is doing a very smart thing and giving me birthstone jewelry. I think April is next which is the diamond so I'm hoping for a tennis bracelet! I can just hear the laughter. Jay gave me a rockin pair of shoes for our anniversary and they also covered my birthday as well. He tried to say they would count for part of Christmas too but that ain't happening! Next time I wear them I'll take a picture to prove what good taste he has!
Alright I'm done now. Apparently my lack of social time is now carrying over into rambling on this blog.

Joni's graduation from Clemson

Joni Louise Byars graduated Clemson University with a degree in Business Management, Executive Leadership and Entrepreneurship concentration (I copied this straight from the invitation b/c there is no way I could remember that). We are so proud of her! I didn't attend the actual graduation but threatened Jay within an inch of his life if he didn't get a lot of good pics for me to post to the blog. He came through and I hope you enjoy.

It was bound to happen

The bumbo seat has to be just about the greatest baby invention ever. When Katie Jo was a baby I stumbled onto it but didn't get one until she was five months which was almost a little too late. Well this time I am just itching to use it with Georgia and can't wait until she is stable enough to sit in it. Today I found a tray to attach for playing and snacking when we were at Target. I couldn't believe it! Just the perfect accessory for the perfect seat!

Daddy's little helper

This afternoon Katie Jo helped her Daddy in the garage. He is putting a workbench together and she helped by putting in the bolts. Georgia was out there too for moral support.

First trip to church

Today was Georgia's first trip to church. She and Katie Jo looked so pretty in their almost matching outfits so I had to get a quick picture. Georgia wore her "going home" dress and Katie Jo has on her Easter dress from last year! Georgia was very good during Sunday School. Everyone was so excited to see her. She slept through all of Worship Service only jerking a few times when people clapped. We actually managed to get showers, dressed, diaper bags ready, and get out the door by 9:30. It was a miracle.

Recent happenings around our house

Katie Jo helped me give Georgia a bath the other nite. She is such a good big sister. She loved pouring the water over her and watching her splash around. She has definitely become more aware of Georgia's existence in our house and the fact that she isn't going anywhere. Fortunately she likes her because she likes to give her "big hug" which means squeezing a little too tight and "little hug" which is a little more gentle. She also recognizes that Georgia is a "little girl" or "little baby" and she is a "big girl." The later is how she has been referring to herself lately. Her vocabulary is expanding daily so that I can't even keep up now. She is starting to communicate in broken sentences which is so weird since it feels like she just started really talking a couple of months ago. Today I asked her what she wanted for a snack and she said "cheese." I asked her if she wanted anything else and she said as clear as a bell "goldfish." Georgia, like Katie Jo, loves staring at herself in the mirror. Please ignore the ragged wallpaper in the background. That'll be a whole other post!
There are really no words for this picture. It just speaks for itself.
If you ever wonder how we spend our days the below picture will pretty much spell it out for you. It the temp ever dips below 100 we might actually venture outside.
This is how I found my husband and littlest child the other nite.
Katie Jo loves for me to lay down a blanket so she can line up little toys for Georgia to look at. Georgia doesn't seem to mind and actually is starting to take notice of Katie Jo.

One Month Old

This is a picture on Georgia's one month birthday. Time has really flown this time.

Weekend home

Last weekend we were home for Jay's sister, Joni's, graduation from Clemson and it was also the first weekend home with Georgia. So in a nutshell that equals family mania! My mom came to Summerville the Sunday before to spend a couple of days and then we rode together on Tuesday with the girls. This was nice so that I didn't have to brave the drive alone and we got a three hour window to talk. Georgia rode so well and only woke to eat in Columbia which was perfect since it was time for lunch. We visited with lots of family during the week and Jay came up on Friday morning. Joni graduated from Clemson Saturday morning and that afternoon we went to her party. Sunday we left around lunch and it took a whole week to recover from all the activities which is why it took so long to post pictures. The pictures are completely backwards but you'll get the picture!

Later on Jay's sister Jessica, her husband Austin, and their kids Aidan and John Paul came over. We all got to visit and Katie Jo and Aidan enjoyed playing the piano.
This was actually taken earlier in the evening when Grandaddy got to hold Georgia for the first time.

"Hello Grandmother Byars."

Mia, Georgia and Katie Jo.

Mia let Katie Jo try out her sunglasses.
Mia and Katie Jo had fun feeding food to the giraffe.

Mema came over a couple of days to visit. She swam with her one day and Katie Jo loved jumping off the side into her arms.
We spent a lot of time out at the pool. This had to of been the hottest week in record with temps reaching over 100 degrees. We tried to get in around 9 in the morning and then again after 5 in the afternoon. Katie Jo loved getting in the water and by week's end was very brave. I think she'll be more than ready for swim lessons next year.

Georgia was too cool for the pool and opted to sun herself by the water's edge!

Georgia got to meet her Mama and Papa Johnson this week too. She got lots of holding time with Mama which didn't bother either of them one little bit! Katie Jo loved playing with Papa and tried to drag him around everywhere by the hand. He's probably still recovering.
