My Accident: A lesson in gravity

Today I had my first real accident. Mommy says she can tell I'm going to be a handful when it comes to curiosity. I just thought that if I held onto the arm the chair wouldn't tip over. Who knew squatting on the very edge while leaning over was a bad idea? I don't think I'll be making that mistake again. Mommy called it a busted lip but I think it looks like lipstick. She was very proud of me for not crying much. When Daddy came home he took me to the back porch and let me play with anything I wanted. I think I'll milk this situation as long as possible. I included a before picture so you could see the chair in question and my cute hat.

I'm stuuuuck!

Navigating the stairs is a snap. It's that top gate that gets me every time. BUT I have now figured out a way that is considered "outside of the box." Alas, this too has proven to be a bit more difficult than I first thought.

Music Mania

Since I've become a groover lately I feel it's time to receive my very own ipod. I have asked for one several times and been turned down several times. Apparently those parents of mine think it's good enough to listen in on theirs. I am now going public with my pleas. I know someone who has a birthday coming up and nothing says, "Happy 1st Birthday" like the gift of music.

Teeth to date- 8 Steps taken- 0

Although you can't see them yet I have two more pearly whites coming through. I kept trying to tell Mommy but she apparently couldn't understand me. Finally, yesterday she saw them when we were having dinner. It's the bottom row's turn again so now it'll be even with the top.

Make mine CHERRY!

It's just not a warm day with out enjoying a popsicle. I got a taste of one this afternoon and there's no going back now. I told Mommy to go ahead and put some change by the front door so we'll be ready the next time the ice cream truck comes by.

My First Easter

Yesterday was my very first Easter and boy was it fun. Mia and Uncle Matt came down to help celebrate and even though there wasn't an egg hunt we still managed to find things to do. We all went to church and I got to show off my new Easter dress. I also got a Easter bucket that was filled with eggs, candy, and a new stuffed animal. We put jellybeans in the eggs and shook them to make noise. I loved that! I took a mighty long nap after church and spent the afternoon hanging out. It was a great day. Hopefully next year they'll give in and let me actually eat the candy!

Trip to Maryland

Last weekend I flew all the way to Maryland to see my Auntie Jess, Uncle Austin, and Cuz Aidan. We had a blast! The plane ride was so much more fun this time then when I was 3 months old. I looked out the window, flirted with the people behind me, and overall was a cutie. Aidan and I had such fun together. We went to the mall and rode in the same stroller! I kept trying to play with his feet. We went into a cool store called L.L. Bean. Daddy went bananas looking at all the fun outdoorsy stuff. Thankfully Aunt Jess kept up with me so my parents could shop. On Sunday we went to church together and Aidan and I decided to take naps while the big people paid attention. We went to a cool grocery store and Momma went bananas over the olive bar! Over the weekend I managed to put all of Aidan's toys in my mouth, but not at once. We had a great time and I can't wait to see him again this summer.

Flowertown Festival

We went to the Flowertown Festival a couple of weeks ago. I got to ride around in front and see all the sights. The most exciting thing was riding the carousel. First with Mom then with Dad. I loved the breeze blowing through my hair and listening to the music. People kept waving but that was before I learned to wave back. Before we left some kids from the local school came out and played music. I was boppin around in my Daddy's arms to the beat. It was a fun day!
