Baby Dedication

Yesterday we had baby dedication at church and Georgia was part of this years dedication. I found a nice explanation for this at bible.org.
Dedicating a child acknowledges God's sovereignty not only over the child, but also Mom and Dad. Parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior for the forgiveness of sin.

We also shared our verse for Georgia: Proverbs 3:1-2 "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity."

Weekend with Gran and Pop

This weekend Gran and Pop came down for a visit. On Friday we went downtown to take a carriage ride. On the way Katie Jo fell asleep with the lip gloss still in her hand! Everyone enjoyed the horse!

It was very windy along the water but this was Katie Jo's favorite part of the ride.
On Saturday we went to the beach. We had a great time and Georgia loved her first experience with sand!

Mother's Day 2008

I know Mother's Day was over a week ago, but I had a zillion pics to plow through and it took several days to recover since we went out of town to celebrate. But they're here now for your looking enjoyment.
To kick off our weekend we had lunch in downtown Greenville at the awesome restaurant, Overlook Grill. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Joining us was Jay's mom, Aunt Karen, Grandmoney, Aunt Joni, Aunt Jessica, Uncle Austin, Aidan, John Paul, and Austin's mom, Lisa. If you ever eat there I suggest the black and blue salad. It was terrific. We were close to a park of sorts and let the kids run around while we waited on the food.

After our lunch we all came back to my parents house to swim!

Mother's Day started out with Miss Georgia getting a bath in the sink.

Here we are all ready for church!

Our Mother's Day lunch was at Mama's and Papa's. We got to spend it with them, as well as, my Aunt Janice and Uncle Joe. Also, my cousin Eric was there with his wife Carla and their girls, Meghan and Claire. Meghan and Katie Jo are only a couple months apart and Georgia and Claire are only three months apart so I look forward to them growing up together and playing. Katie Jo and Meghan hit it off and had a great time. What sweet girls they are!

The girls helped Mama open her gifts.
The girls loved putting stickers all over me!
Georgia got her first ride in a rocker. As you can see from her face she enjoyed it!

Yay, it's warm!

We packed up and went to the sprinklers today. Katie Jo was so excited! She couldn't wait for Georgia to wake up from her nap so we could go. She even packed the car, with herself included!

New Chore?

Guess who set the table the other nite? I handed KJ forks to put on the table and the next thing I knew she had put them out at every one's spot. We had Mia and Aunt Joni coming over for dinner which explains the two extra spots. I went ahead and gave her plates then the napkins. She did a great job and she was very proud of herself.
