Easter afternoon we spent time with my family at my grandparents house. While there my grandparents neighbor came over with a baby squirrel she had befriended. We all got a chance to hold and pet the little fella. After being handled so much he got a little, well squirrely, and climbed down Katie Jo's dress to hide. If this isn't blog worthy I don't know what is.

Easter Weekend Part Three
Easter afternoon, after church, we went by my grandparent's house to do a few pics while we were dressed up. We didn't get very far since the girls were ready to play and all but we managed a few cute shots.
Jay and I didn't get any pics together while we were still dressed up but this one will do, even if the sun was directly in our eyes!
Ok, so at one point I walk out back and see my grandmother's neighbor talking to Jay and my cousin Eric and his wife Carla. Then I notice that Jay is holding a squirrel! It was a baby squirrel that she had befriended. I didn't get the whole story but watching that squirrel climb around was something else. Everyone got a chance to hold it and pet it. Katie Jo and Georgia LOVED it! That is an Easter memory I will not soon forget.
My Dad, Mom and Brother, Brian, with the girls
After we changed clothes we played, ate a huge lunch, egg hunted, played more and then left late that afternoon. Katie Jo and Meghan had such a great time playing together. They are only a few months apart and soon Georgia and Claire will be able to play together too since they're only three months apart. I look forward to them growing up together! We had a great day but I was so tired I could have died. This is Georgia's new "surprised" face

Easter Weekend Part 1
Saturday morning we went over to my mom and dad's house so they could give the girls their treats. The girls were most excited about their Minnie Mouse cups and then we had an egg hunt in the house. They loved finding the eggs. Georgia even got good at shaking the eggs to make sure there was a treat inside!
After all the egg hunting Gran let the girls decorate some cup cakes she had made. The girls had a blast! Katie Jo took it very seriously and decorated several of the cup cakes with jelly beans, m and m's, and sprinkles. Georgia also took it very seriously. She took a bite of cup cake, shook sprinkles on it, and took another bite! This went on until the whole thing was eaten and sprinkles were distributed ALL over the place.

Easter Morning 2009
We had a great Easter! We spent it in the upstate with our families and had a terrific time seeing everyone. Easter morning the girls got their treats from the "bunny." It wasn't anything too much but a few fun items. They enjoyed their treats and each got to eat a peep! We went to church as a family and had a great time worshiping at Wellford Baptist.
Our deep thinker. She didn't sleep too well on this trip so I'm sure by this point she was starting to feel zonked.

Easter Weekend Part Two
Saturday afternoon we had a big date with Jay's family. His Grandmother decided to have everyone over for lunch and egg hunting. It was such a fun afternoon. This was the first year both girls have enjoyed egg hunting. It was also so nice to see them play with their cousins! A lot of Jay's Aunts, cousins, siblings, grandmothers, mother, nephews, and niece were there so it was a full house! It was beautiful weather and a great day all around!
Cousins hunting around the egg tree. At some point they all tried to get an egg hanging from a branch!
The older cousins: Jennifer, Lee, Scott, Carey, Jessica, Austin, Amber, Jay and somehow Aunt Joan jumped in on this shot!
