Edisto Family Vacation

Yahoo! We just got back from my favorite place, so far, the BEACH! We spent the week swimming, sleeping, sunning, and stuffing our faces with food. It was a great break from all the boring toys around here! The best part was Mr. Ed, Mrs. Corrine and Agnes Rose came all the way from Texas to vacation with us. Mr. Ed and Mrs. Corrine are friends of Momma and Daddy's and Agnes is my new friend. She is a little older than me but we got along just fine. She helped me fine-tune my walking skills and by the end of the week I was walkin around without even thinking about it!
The best part of the week was the water. I just loved sitting in it and splashing. Sometimes the big waves crashing would scare me a little bit but I stayed close to the edge so not to get swept away. Daddy kept callin me a loggerhead since I'd crawl towards the water like one. I liked raking the sand with my shovel and putting sand into the bucket with my hands. Momma says we'll never get all the sand shells off of my scalp but I think it looks like freckles and no one will notice!

Vacation Bible School June 12-16th

Well we had VBS at our church and boy was it exciting. We learned about the Arctic and having courage. I made a shaker bottle with rice, confetti and beads. Mrs. Kayci my teacher took some photos of me and my friends so we'd always remember this week. She took a funny picture of me just for my momma to put on the fridge. Momma had put me in an outfit buttoned up to my chin and the ladies in the nursery thought I was quite a site looking like I was wearing a straight jacket of sorts. I was just glad when they unbuttoned me a little and I could breathe again. I guess Momma was in a hurry that mornin thinking about teaching those fourth graders!

June 5-9th

Here are some shots from a very busy week. I got to go to our playgroup for Piccaso Day and paint. I enjoyed getting it on me more than the canvas. It was nice to run around in my swim diaper and be foot loose and fancy free. I also got an outdoor chair so now I can relax in the yard. I like standing in it better than sitting right now though. I also learned to stand and talk on the phone this week. It's amazing what you can do in an upright position! Momma also snuck and took some pics of me in my toy basket. I personally think it's more fun to sit among the toys instead of playing with them one at a time.

Suuunny Florida

We drove all the way down to sunny Florida to visit Granddaddy, Mema, Gigi, and Granddaddy Byars. We had such a good time and a bonus was meeting our family from out west: Uncle Jason, Aunt Josephina, cousin James, and cousin Joshua. It was such fun playing with them before they left. I got to swim in Granddaddy and Mema's pool. My Daddy tried to ride a shark but he fell off! Don't worry it was the "full of air" kind. We also took a ride on Granddaddy's boat. I wore a life jacket just in case they decided to go fast (which they didn't). We stopped at a little island and let the dogs run around and chase birds. Granddaddy almost had to rescue Baby cause she ran so far out into the water. The next day I got to swim in Gigi's pool and she fixed me my very first ice cream cone. I ate it right up and didn't share none. Saturday night they took me to a Devil Ray's baseball game. Mema had a suite just for those bankin people and we had the best time eating peanuts and hotdogs and drinkin milk! I stayed up waaay past my bedtime but I was so good so they'd let me stay a little longer. We finished out our trip with breakfast at IHOP on Sunday mornin. I miss them already but know I'll see them again before I can say "Suuunny Florida."
