That morning Jay and I celebrated with her and gave her our gift which was an art easel. She seemed pretty excited about it and immediately went to painting!
Jay also picked up a bat and ball for her to start perfecting her swing. Notice he has her batting left handed!
Later that morning we went with our neighbors Emily and Jack to Rolly Pollies. It's a local kiddie gym that was having a free open play to celebrate their six month anniversary. We spent two hours running, climbing, jumping, and having a great time!
That afternoon Mia's gift arrived and it was a sporty new pair of shoes! These will be perfect for the beach and pool this summer.
And that evening Gran and Pop arrived for the weekend and gave Katie Jo their gifts. The clubhouse was a huge hit and Katie Jo has not stopped carrying around her "friends" since!
We ended the day with an ice cream birthday cake picked out by Pop. It was a very full day and Katie Jo had no idea what laid in store for her the next day!

Jack has that same easel, but we haven't been brave enough to try paint yet. Crayons and chalk are messy enough for us! You're such a good mom! Glad Katie Jo had a fun birthday.
